  • Who is SHIELD Homeschool Enrichment?
    SHIELD (Seeking Him In Education, Leadership, {and} Discipleship) Homeschool Enrichment is a Christian homeschool co-op that meets weekly for enrichment classes and monthly with our Field Trips and Fellowship group.
  • Do I have to be a Christian to attend?
    Yes, we are a Christian group of like minded families. We strongly encourage you to read our Statement of Faith to make sure that our co-op is a great fit for you and your family.
  • How often does the co-op meet?
    The co-op meets on Friday's from 10:00 am - 1:30 pm. Fall semester runs from September to December. Spring semester runs from February to May. Each semester is 12 weeks long.
  • How often is enrollment?
    We offer two enrollments per school year. Fall enrollment is due early August and Spring enrollment is due by early January. Once enrollment is closed, we will not be accepting any additional enrollments for the semester.
  • Do I have to attend for the entire day?
    Yes, we expect all families to participate in the full day. A typical day runs as follows: 10:00 am - Morning Assembly 10:25 am - First Hour (45 mins) 11:15 am - Second Hour (45 mins) 12:00 pm - Lunch 12:35 pm - Group Gym / Clean-Up 1:30 pm - School Dismissal
  • Do I have to be part of the co-op to attend monthly field trips and play dates?
    No, Field Trips and Fellowship is an extended group of our co-op. We have several families that love to join us for monthly field trips but do not attend the weekly co-op.
  • Do I have to teach when attending the weekly co-op?
    Yes! We are a small cooperative group made up of 10-15 families. One parent must attend with your child(ren) and is required to co-teach each hour. There are 2 class hours and one gym hour.
