Who We Are
SHIELD was founded in 2014 when we created a group of like-minded Christian families to get together each month for monthly field trips and play dates. Since than we have started weekly co-op meetings in the Fall of 2015. We offer several different enrichment classes from science, art, cooking, and more. Our classes are geared towards preschool through elementary age students. Since we are a cooperative group, it involves parent participation in classes.
Field Trips: We meet monthly through our field trip & summer play dates. You do not need to be apart of the co-op to participate in monthly outings. In addition to field trips and play dates, we try quarterly mom outings to continue the fellowship.
Co-op Enrichment: We meet weekly with our co-op classes held in Wheat Ridge. Our weekly co-op offers Enrichment classes in a cooperative setting, meaning we do not have paid teachers but rely on parents participation and teaching classes. Each class will have 2-3 teachers that work together to come up with lessons plans for the semester. We offer two 12-week long semesters through out the school year, Fall and Spring. Fall classes are held from September throughout December. Spring classes are held from February to May.
